This picks up right where the cliffhanger that was book 4 (Sins of the Demon) left off. Kara has been summoned to the demon realm by Mzatal. She's unbalanced and needs to figure things out quickly.I had a harder time with this one than I thought I would. What I enjoyed about the previous 4 books was...

Touch of the Demon by Diana Rowland My rating: 4 of 5 stars I burned myself out on this series after book 4, and found that I had to take a break before reading this installment. Now that I've actually started reading it a third time and finally gotten into it; I'm enjoying it greatly. Just about al...

Nothing makes sense anymore in this instalment. It felt like the author was out of ideas for Kara as a detective, the story took a complete new turn.- The first 10 chapters or so are descriptions about the Demon realm, its inhabitants, and the magic system. I liked the first chapters and I'm gratefu...

This was my favorite in the series so far. While I'm enjoyed Kara, I've always felt like she needed to be more kickass and felt she was way too trusting. This segment of the series takes place mostly in the demon world. Kara finds herself at the mercy of Demon lord Mzatal. I liked Mzatal since t...

Hmmm.... I had a very mixed time with this book. I neither read the blurb or reviews therefore I was not forewarned that this book takes this series in an 100% different direction, different genre, pace, pattern, love interest, different almost everything besides the characters and magical system--w...

Diana Rowland is a one of the few rare authors who didn't allow herself to stagnate. It takes balls to turn everything you've learnt on its head, and the only other author I know who did such thing was Karen Marie Moning with her Fever series. The successful summoning in the end of Sins of The Demon...
Sarah ~Slow reader, or slowly reading? ;)
What in the actual fuck was that? I am not impressed on where this series is going, and it used to be my favorite. I started this book about five different times before I gave up and didn't come back to it until I listened to it on audio. It was hard enough listening to the whole thing, because it...

I like this series very much and this one was a good read as well.Kara is a great heroine imo - not too strong and confident and no beauty queen. A women with courage and sense of humor. She fails and she is afraid - but she keeps on fighting. For this installment Kara has to stay in the demon realm ...

Best one so far. Over all this series is avg at best. It's a suitable filler as you wait for new books from the better UF authors but totally skippable.

Is this even written by the same author? This is what the Kara Gillian series should have been from the start. Not the crap from the first four books.
