Winner!!So this book was fun! It kicked off with action and more action. This was perfectly escapist for all the shit going down right now in the US.In other time I might have been annoyed with Kitty. While she has some flaws and was honest, she also was a little too perfect (being able to able a gu...

Gave up at 50% - this just wasn't working for me. Too much telling and not enough doing, maybe cause it's the first book for the series and there's a lot of set up to muddle through. Thinking of skipping to Book 2 because I like the concept; the execution didn't keep me interested, though. I did ...

I'd been quietly adding these tomes to my TBR mountain for some time. It occurred to me recently that a) they take up a lot of room, and b) the longer I waited, the more daunting the read was going to be. IOW, I should have started reading the series about ...4 books ago I guess, when I picked up th...

Katherine “Kitty” Katt finds herself one afternoon witnessing a spousal dispute. One minute they’re arguing, the next the husband is transforming into a jelly like creature with wings and Kitty is stabbing him with her Mont Blanc pen. Right away some secret service Man in Black type guys storm in ...

This review also posted at A Bookish Compulsion's Main SiteTouched by an Alien was a thrill-ride of a read right from the start. Unapologetically snarky and full of fun I loved Katherine “Kitty” Katt as a heroine. While following some of her antics through the plot took a heaping teaspoon of suspens...

Would've given this 4 stars if there were less info dumps and more action. Action for two seconds, info dumps for thirty minutes, and back again to two seconds of action. At least that's what it felt like.

Enjoyed some parts of the book, and some parts where just too over the top for me. I also felt the author tried too hard to be funny. Didn't like Martini much. I might continue with the series some time, but I doubt it.

3.5 really but I'm rounding up because of the fun factor. Luckily this book is firmly in the popcorn movie, turn your brain off entertainment camp because the whole thing falls apart if you think about it too deeply. Imagine if the old awesome Will Smith from Men in Black, Independence Day or Enemy...

Review: This book has been on my TBR list for quite a while. I haven’t read it sooner for the simple reason that my daughter refuses to read books about aliens. (They are too real, go figure.) I did, however, manage to get the gals (and guys) over at the GoodReads group Girls, Guns, & Grimoires to ...
