Counting this towards Mawlid An-Nabi because it has a green cover! I read this book four times over the holidays. It was so good! Why didn't we get more Superintendent Battle books?! I don't know what else to say, but prepare for a glowing review. So "Towards Zero" starts off with a retired lawy...

‘I like a good detective story,’ he said. ‘But, you know, they begin in the wrong place! They begin with the murder. But the murder is the end. The story begins long before that– years before sometimes– with all the causes and events that bring certain people to a certain place at a certain time on ...

Audiobook.I thought I had read this before and swore it was one person through the majority of the book. Liked that I was fooled. The ending was a little "What the Heck!" but enjoyable.

Since this is the first Agatha Christie I read, the ending really had me. It was one of those "how could I have not seen that coming?". It's a classic murder-mystery story which I love, and you can never forget the first novel of the author you read. Christie said this was one of her favorite novels...

Not the best Agatha Christie, but still interesting. The detective is Superintendent Battle who uses a Hercule Poirot technique to help solve the murder. I thought that was a neat twist!

It has been at least a decade since I read an Agatha Christie novel. Towards Zero was a great re-introduction to her elaborate plots, multiple characters and hidden motives. Out of all her plots, it isn't the most complex one there is, which makes it a perfect candidate for audio.Towards Zero is wha...

I enjoyed this mystery. Christie does a great job of throwing in lots of red herrings, leading the reader to believe he or she has figured things out.

Adaptation by Joy Wilkinson of Agatha Christie's detective novel. Against her better judgement, Lady Tresselian permits the dashing Nevile Strange and his wife to come to her house party at the same time as his ex-wife, and sure enough, as soon as everyone arrives, the tensions are evident. Nevile ....

A book centered around the idea that the events before a crime occurs are more important than what happens afterwards. It’s a bit more complex than some of her stories and I enjoyed it. [Dec. 2010]
