To date, I have read 17 of Patricia Cornwell's novels, the majority of which all had the same heroine: Dr. Kay Scarpetta. So reading Trace (A Scarpetta Novel) was much like going home. It was (for me) a warm, cozy comforting read. But be forewarned; if you haven't read Cornwell's Scarpetta novels ...
Utter trash. I can see how someone can enjoy it (on a very boring plane flight) but it's just not for me, I can't get into it.
Here's the goods - this is my first Scarpetta and am fully convinced, one hour in, that I should have started at the beginning to get into character because I am finding this ugly.So this can go, and I may try it again once I have the earlier numbers under my belt...maybe.
