Why are Rae and David Spellman not on speaking terms? Why is Mom throwing herself into numerous hobbies? What is the link between the case Izzy is working and the one dear old Dad has his hooks in? All these questions and more will be answered in Trail of the Spellmans! My all time favorite dysfuncti...
Sometimes you just need light and fluffy. Lutz’ Spellman series fits the bill perfectly, with enough complexity and surprises to prevent boredom, clever lines to provide laughter and a remarkable entertaining heroine. In this installment, Isabel is active again in her family’s detective business....
While the primary Spellman Investigations mysteries are a bit less-than-crucial, the first Spellman book after a few years away feels tighter and more developmental than perhaps any that has come before. The whole family is undergoing serious growing-up type changes and it makes for an immensely co...
I really, really, really enjoy these books. Brain candy. The Spellmans are getting older, but not less dysfunctional. If you liked the other four you will like this too.I rarely pay 'full' price for an eBook these days (defined as > $10.00), I waited some months but needed some levity in my life an...
This is the 5th saga in the Spellman Series. It took a bit to get going, but in the end, it did not disappoint. I love this series because things change. Relationships change. Although the laughing never ends. Curious to see what will happen next with this family.
*Rating* 4.0*Genre* Mystery/Comedy*Review forthcoming*I seriously love this series! I am so happy that after a nearly 2 years of a reprieve from writing this series, Trail of the Spellman's returns without any luster being lost on the characters or the storyline itself.More shortly.

I love the Spellmans and their various friends and acquaintances. I love Lutz's writing style, too, and...
It is rare that I agree with a blurb on a book, but I have nothing to add to Laura Lippman's blurb on the back of Trail of the Spellmans, except maybe, "Izzy, why are you using the Avoidance Method (TM) on US?""Lisa Lutz's Spellman books are always hilarious, but Trail of the Spellmans reminded me h...
I can't say anything except this is an excellent book. Funny, endearing, interesting. As with all the previous 'documents' there are quite a few plot lines and Izzy Spellman does her usual excellent job at getting to the bottom of all of them. The evolution of character development throughout all th...

With witty dialogue, a funny cast of characters and footnotes! I am a sucker for a well-placed fo...
