This series didn't grip me as much as Elliott's others, but the conclusion (to this book and the series as a whole) is amazing.
I don't know what I was expecting from this story but I don't think it was this book. I would suggest reading the trilogy quite close together as there were moments where I was quite lost with the who and why people were doing what they did, but, unfortunately, I also found myself not really caring...
This is the first series I read by Kate Elliott, of whom I had previously heard A LOT of good things. But I just felt like the series was really slow moving and I didn't find myself caring for any of the characters very much. Honestly, I felt like a huge portion of each novel could have been cut out...
