This is a re-read of the series for me. I really enjoyed it the first time around, and I find I like it all the more now. In the first book of the series we meet Devlin, the oldest and strongest Paladin in existence. His path toward turning Other is close, and he hates it. But he doesn't need to ...

2.5 rating because there were parts that were kind of interesting. The Paladins are a group of warriors, able to regenerate, that fight against the Others that try to crossover into our world. This book left me with mixed feelings. Some parts of it I really liked and others really rubbed me the wrong way. I found the world that Ms. Morgan created in this book to be interesting. Well, the conclusion was a bit hasty, but since this is written as a series with the overall conflict not to be resolved until the end one has to deal with the disappointment of no resolution there. That said, Devlin and Laurel (our fearless protagonists)managed to find their HEA. I wish it hadn't b...

Wheee! This was just what I needed. A unique, fresh paranormal world that I can binge on without waiting for more books. Six more to go and book #8 comes out in May!

2.75 StarsWhile this read was not in my top 100, it had potential. I liked that the Doc was headstrong. D was the usual hard-as-nails soldier. The plot was slow going. Something was missing that made this a "blah" read. Will most likely read the next (I already own it) although I am in no rush.

Ok, so there are these 'others' who live unbderground, and the Paladins can die - and live again, but even with that I didnt get the "paranormal" vibe at all from this book.. Maybe its because I've been reading BDB, LOTU, IAD and series like that but this one didnt do it for me at all.. I liked it, ...
