Hiding in one of the rickety showers in an unused gym at Cop Central, Detective Peabody overhears two dirty cops discussing their side-business. She immediately turns to her superior, Lieutenant Eve Dallas, and her report soon opens a can of worms some would kill to keep closed. I'm in awe of this...

Please note that I gave this 4.5 stars out of 5 stars and rounded it to 5 stars on Goodreads. The only reason why I did not give this one 5 stars was because the speech that Dallas pours all over Mira later on was too much. I may have rolled my eyes a lot. But everything else in the story works perfe...

Wow, hold tight because this is what I'm talkin' about when I say this was a wild, fast, fun ride. I had a blast reading this book. There were times when I laughed so hard people would stare at me in the bus envious because they were not in on the joke or there were the times I had to stop pedaling ...

February 23, 2011 - Enjoyable as usual. Does not include as much interpersonal conflict between Eve and Roarke or her friends/colleagues as some of the series, but the relationships are still there and very real. And the plot is good. Fast paced. You know from the beginning who the villains are,...

This was a solid read until the ending. I liked how Eve was weaving her magic to bring down the bad guys, but then it just kind of fizzled at the end. I guess because of the enormity of the crime, I wish we could have been given the results after the arrest.

Made up for indulgence. Lots of heart-warming or sappy moments, depending on where you stand. Enough action, some issues, but sill on the way better side of the saga. Now I'm all set for New York to Dallas *squeals*

Treachery in Death was like a breath of fresh air :) I wasn't a big fan of the last two books in the series, but I absolutely loved this book! Treachery in Death is about Eve and her squad trying to take down a dirty police squad at Central. Peabody overhears the dirty squad's lieutenant and a detec...

4.5 stars. So good!
Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories
There are bad cops, good cops and then the best kind of cop; Eve Dallas falls under the best kind of cop category and she proves that over and over to fans of the character and never more so than in this book!

Don't know quite how this reread started...but I'm really enjoying it. It "appeared" on the Audible application on my iPad. Given the incredible number of books I have NOT read that I want to read, I almost always feel a little guilty at even the idea of rereading. On the other hand, there are qu...
