The book listed for Roberts in the romance recommendation guide I was working through is Born in Fire, the first of a trilogy, which I'd tried before. I didn't care for it. The style struck me as clunky--I remember head-hopping among other stylistic nits that drove me crazy. The Irish characters als...

A messed-up girl and a down-to-earth boy somehow manage to find each other and (spoiler alert) figure things out. I really enjoyed it, even if I knew the who from the whodunit pretty early on.

This is the first audiobook I've listened to. I normally prefer reading paperbacks or ebooks. So it was interesting for me to try an audiobook I received as a gift for my silly 7+ hour train journey's back and forth between my home and visiting my family. Getting up at 4am and sitting on two trains...

LOVE this one. Nora is usually great for me but this one is an all-time fave. It has a great heroine, a sexy nerd who knows his Buffy, an ex-husband who is fantastic, and one of Nora's best dogs ever...and that's saying something!
