One of the most uncomfortable and hard to read books I've ever finished. Hopkins has no trouble uncovering the hidden and taboo and bringing it into full light. Tough to read, but even tougher to know that it actually takes place.
I usually rate books based on how much I enjoyed them. This book would probably have one star if I did that here. It was graphic, painful, depressing. I felt drained once I reached the end. Wow! I hesitated to join the Hopkins train but this was an incredible book. Heartbreaking. Graphic but tasteful, real and necessary. Beautifully written.
