A bad-ass werewolf visits Innsmouth, and gets mixed up in more than he bargained for. Reminded me a bit of 'The Wicker Man,' with extra paranormal elements. Humorous without being 'light,' Gaiman's sincere love for Lovecraft shines through here.[Review of the prose story only.]
This is definitely not up to par with Mignola's
Amazing artwork and a dark tale with an even darker ending. This is what a twisted fairytale is all about. Bravo! To top it all off, the added bits of bio about fairy creatures around the world was great. Highly recommend and it's a very quick read.
What would happen if H.P. Lovecraft could rewrite the Batman story? You'd get The Doom That Came to Gotham. This series is a re-imagining of the batman mythology in the 1920s, with old favorites coming back in different roles. The story itself reminds me of many Lovecraft stories like Call of Cth...
