by Michael Connelly
Book 5 in the series and another case for Harry Bosch with all the twists, turns and adrenaline-inducing plunges of a parkour outing. When a body turns up in the trunk of a Rolls Royce, abandoned in the hills above L.A, it has all the hallmarks of a professional hit. Yet, when the ‘Organised Crime I...
Well I was up and down about Harry Bosch. I absolutely love the tv series and decided to go back and read these books. The only book I have read out of the series is "City of Bones." At the time I had no idea it was part of an ongoing series. It was in one of my grandpa's Reader's Digest condensed b...
~~Moved from GR~~ Trunk Music by Michael Connelly After his utterly catastrophic meltdown in the last book, Bosch is somehow back on Hollywood homicide and about to get into his first case--a man executed and shoved in his trunk. It has all the earmarks of a hit by the outfit--a little "trunk musi...
Every time that I read a Harry Bosch novel, I feel like I am working alongside him in solving the crime. Michael Connelly certainly knows the ropes about being a detective. First rte story bringing a myriad of details to fruition to finalize a case. Great writing by a master crime story writer.
At least one of the surprises I saw coming.
Another fine Connelly book.
This is my first Michael Connelly, and thus, obviously, my first Harry Bosch mystery. And, as always, I throw continuity to the wind and start somewhere in the middle! Who needs beginnings?I don't know why I was suspicious of this author. Maybe just how often he's appeared on best seller lists, whic...
Trying to catch up on my Hieronymus Bosch, this is a fine addition to the series. I give it 4 Stars even though it is a bit dated. The vectors Harry takes to solve the murder of Tony Aliso, mob-connected movie producer change several times and really kept the story going nicely. Harry hooks back up ...
Another great Michael Connelly in the Harry Bosch series and fortunately I'm reading them in order, slowly but in order. I started Connelly with Mickey Haller, The Lincoln Lawyer, and I really enjoy the rag-tag lawyer. He was fun and funny. After I read the third book, I started on the Bosch seri...
I didn't like this addition to the series as much because Mafia stories don't truly interest me. But I have to add to that: I wanted to reach into my iPod and snatch Bosch up by his collar to pull him away from yet another seriously damaged/damaging woman. Ai yi yi!
