Definitely in the top tier of Rebirth books that I've read. A very entertaining cape book. Recommended.

Well, I had never had the opportunity before now to read all of the Civil War storyline, so all of the issues in this were new to me. It collects: New Avengers: Illuminati; Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 1) #529-531, and Fantastic Four #536-537. The stories are interesting but even though I kind of know...

So, apparently this is IDW because Bee's avie is a hot woman again. That's the first tell, although Jazz's avie is the same from the IDW again, and I believe so is Prow's although I honestly don't remember what his was like. I remember this as being horribly cheesy. Why, yes, Bay, thank ...

My second Blue Beetle origin story I've read in a week or two. Prior read was actually the third volume in that Blue Beetle run, while here I actually start from beginning. There are large similarities between the two origin stories. Actually, not much different. I don't recall Jamie's parents in t...

The idea of this trade is to lay out the groundwork for the events of Civil War. It does this through three separate storylines. The first is the single issue Illuminati, which has the strongest writing in the collection. The idea is that some of the most influential voices in Marvel's superhero com...

I do not like the Fantastic Four, so it irked me when I found out their last issues come bound up with the last issues of the X-Men. I mean, really? The Ultimatum wave has come and gone, and left thousands dead, including some very important X-characters, and a peripheral figure to the Fantastic Four...

Things are ending on a weak note I'm afraid. This is the last bound collection of strictly 'Ultimate X-Men' issues, I think their actual last issues are bound up with the Fantastic Four. What we get here is the return of Mr. Sinister - whose creative re-imagining is undermined by the fact that Apoca...

Urgh, first of all, ignore the 'Official' Ultimate Universe Handbook, or whatever its called, because it was inaccurate and out of date the second it saw print. Also, the "secrets" it reveals are nothing that an idiot couldn't figure out if they had read the comics already. And, if you haven't read ...

Why don't I like the Fantastic Four? I've been a-scritching and a-scratchin' my head trying to think it over. The blame can't be entirely on the artists because I wasn't even into the cartoon growing up. Let's not even begin on the movies. What I've come up with is that fundamentally the Fantastic Fo...
