Katarina Bishop has worn a lot of labels in her short life: Friend. Niece. Daughter. Thief. But for the last two months she’s simply been known as the girl who ran the crew that robbed the greatest museum in the world. That’s why Kat isn’t surprised when she’s asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so it can be returned to its rightful owners. There are only three problems. First, the gem hasn’t been seen in public in thirty years. Second, since the fall of the Egyptian empire and the suicide of Cleopatra, no one who holds the emerald keeps it for long—and in Kat’s world, history almost always repeats itself. But it’s the third problem that makes Kat’s crew the most nervous, and that is . . . the emerald is cursed. Kat might be in way over her head, but she’s not going down without a fight. After all, she has her best friend— the gorgeous Hale—and the rest of her crew with her as they chase the Cleopatra around the globe, dodging curses and realizing that the same tricks and cons her family has used for centuries are useless this time. Which means, this time, Katarina Bishop is making up her own rules. Critics and fans alike have fallen for the Heist Society series (no conning necessary). With more mystery, non-stop action, romance and humor, this second novel is just as irresistible.

**3.5 stars**This book was a quick read like the first book. I did enjoy this book, but parts of it were really confusing. I'm going to read the third in the series to find out what other missions the crew accomplishes.
It was so good and I loved the ending and how happy it was. A total surprise with ending and happened really fast. You should read and if you don't like it in the begging than it will get better. I promise.
Uncommon criminals is the second book in the Heist Society series by Ally Carer. Kat came back to the family business but only to steal works of art that were stolen and return them to the rightful owners. When a woman tells Kat the Cleopatra Emerald really is hers, Kat and the gang manage to stea...
If you would've asked me two weeks ago if I thought I was going to read this book anytime soon, I would've told you a definite no. HEIST SOCIETY did not impress me, and was a bit of a disappointment to me, so I pretty much decided to steer clear of this series. But then, the most unbelievable thing ...
I really like this series. These kids are geniuses! Cant wait to read more from them in the next book, just not yet.
