This was really frustrating to listen to. I enjoyed the first one and found it fairly fast paced and interesting enough. But The Lives We Lost definitely has the second book slumber feel mainly because not a lot happens. They have the antidote but now they need to leave the island and figure out ...

2 starsThis was still so sad. It's just a depressing read and seeing everything through Kaelyn's perspective is nauseating. She's just sooooooooo.... self-centered. It's alll about her and what shes has lost or learned or has to do or feels.I feel like killing folks to survive an epidemic like this ...

Why was this so boring? WHY? I also realized I have no idea about Canadian geography. Kaelyn is saying "Oh, we have to travel all the way to Toronto," and I'm thinking, "Is that far??"I have no idea!!So this book was very, very slow-moving and it made me feel inadequate in my 5th grade geography ...

She should have just stopped after the first one. The writing is all over the place. It's way too simple and there is absolutely no consistency. Also the entire plot's flat, there's barely any rise and she also got rid of my favourite character. Next Stephenie Meyer? I think so.

I liked the first book in the Fallen World series, The Way We Fall, despite the first half being incredibly slow moving and little 'light' for my personal tastes. The second half was a big improvement and by the end I could appreciate the book in full. So although I wasn't rushing out to buy The Way...

Oh, second book, you... why is there nothing great I can recall from you? Your ending has saved you and so have a couple of key moments but truthfully, nothing much happens except! Of course, there’s Kae being all brave and gung ho about taking things in her hands and the rest of them following alon...

MY THOUGHTSLOVED IT***spoilers if you haven't read the first book***This second installment of The Fallen World picks right up where the first one left off. I'm loving the way sequels are getting better and better. For me, there is just much more added depth to the story. The virus is spreading faster and wider than what originally thought. Diving right back into the plot, Kaelyn is running out of time. She is trying to survive as well as find a cure. T...
