This romantic suspense was full of fast paced exciting action but the genius hero was a weakling allowing his monetary situation and all the coincidences throughout the story became unbelievable and I started skimming. Nearly asleep at the wheel, firefighter Zack runs into the back of exotic dancer ...
This is just ridiculous. I can only suspend my disbelief so far. Skimmed the second half just to see how it ends.
Opening Line: "The back end of the SUV filled Zack Knight's windshield before his exhusted brain jolted to awareness, screaming the belated message to slam on his brakes." Zack Knight loves to save lives and fight fires along with the other members of his `family' at Station Five yet outside th...
Compared to the first book, a solid 4...compared to other books I've read, more like a 2. I needed more firefighter-ness and less pungency. Not sure if I'll continue the series or not...
The hero of this book is Zach.... ohhhh, poor, poor, dear, HOT Zach!!! I don't think that anything else could have happened to him! 3.5 stars As soon as I finished Trial by Fire and saw that the next book was about Zach, I couldn't resist. He is adorable and sweet, and Cor was spunky and fun. I liked the plot as well as the romance, and although I had speculations, the plot in this one wasn't as transparent as the last book.
First he rear-ends her Explorer, then he goes all hero and saves her life. I guess it’s Zack Knight’s good night. Not really, since he almost dies that same night, ends up in the hospital with an untreated pneumonia, and gets evicted a few days later. But things soon turn for the better since the la...
