I read this book before Halloween Bingo started but I had it slated to come out before bingo started just didn’t have time. So everything after this will be Bingo focused . I’m already part way through my Ghost Stories pick You will need to read the first book in this series Unholy Ghosts in order...
{Read February 8, 2012. Reread August 2013}Did I really never write a review on this one? Very remiss of me. I'll have to come back and fix that when my life calms down a bit. 5/5
Reviewed by: Rabid ReadsMy second trip into the world of Downside was a lot more satisfying than my first; this story focuses on Chess’ investigations rather than on her drug addiction which was my main beef with Unholy Ghosts. My frustrations over the heroine’s inability to think straight due to he...
Terrible, I get you're hurting, but I s2g... "A whore is honest." You'd better shape up for the next one, cause I want to slap your face right off your face.
Oh man, Chess Putnam really needs to do something about her addictions, she's a bit of a mess but this book goes a distance to talk about why she's a mess. Her background was full of people who used and in many ways used her, I don't think she really knows how to relate to people properly. This st...
Book 2 of the" Downside Ghosts" series Just because you make mistakes doesn’t mean you don’t love someone.”Reading this book was akin to having my heart ripped out of my chest, and posterior having someone tap dancing on the poor thing...This read was deep, ugly, raw, desperate, intense, painful.....

I thought she was very self-destructive. Though we got a little more glimpse into her past, I just have a very hard time rela...

I'd even go somewhere between 4-4½♥'s on this.Yes, it's a dark, underbelly of a world. Yes, Chess is one whacked junkie. Yes, I've finally seen just why Terrible has such a following. I was 'Team Lex' last book, but this one converted even me. It definitely leaves me wanting more of the series. ...
I liked this one a lot better than the first one, since I didn't spend half of this book completely lost due to world building. I wasn't expecting the drama, though.
