I wasn't sure when I began this book whether I'd like it or not. But it drew me in, and was quite engaging by the end. This is, of course, the 22nd in the series of Alphabet Mysteries featuring Kinsey Millhone, private investigator. Basically, Kinsey is looking for discounted underwear in an somewha...

"A woman with a murky past who kills herself-or was it murder? A spoiled kid awash in gambling debt who thinks he can beat the system. A lovely woman whose life is about to splinter into a thousand fragments. A professional shoplifting ring working for the Mob, racking up millions from stolen goo...

As appears on Goodreads.com and will be importing more books and reviews from that site over the weekend. 2.5 StarsI love Kinsey Millhone and have read Sue Grafton's books, but this was my least favorite novel in her alphabet series. Something was just off and I quite figure out just what the "it"...

Ever since S is for Silence, we have been getting multiple points of view which some people enjoy and some peo...

I'm not sure if this is the worst in the series or if it's barely edged out by [b:R is for Ricochet|64862|R is for Ricochet (Kinsey Millhone, #18)|Sue Grafton|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348067966s/64862.jpg|62954]. Both were so bad that it's hard to split hairs on them.

This has a strange start and actually takes a while to even introduce Kinsey, the heroine of this series. I kept thinking WTH is going on and who are these people. Once it became clear, I enjoyed this multi-POV story. Of course since she is the heroine, we had Kinsey's take on things but we also ...

Sue Grafton does it again. I'm always amazed at her ability to write an exciting mystery that takes place in the 80s, that doesn't feel dated. My one quibble with this book is that one character near the end of the book, Cappi, doesn't kill Kinsey and Pinky at Pinky's house. He has shown throughou...
