V. Jean Ramsey started school in a one-room country school and dreamed of becoming a writer and teacher. She is now retired from 30+ years of university teaching. Instead of writing Nancy Drew-like mysteries as originally envisioned, she is writing about being more effective in interpersonal relationships across differences and how to contribute to positive change in the world. Two of her academic articles are among the top ten most cited articles according to Sage Journals Online: "Beyond self-directed learning: A partnership model of teaching and learning" in the Journal of Management Education and "Bringing women's voice to research on women in management: A feminist perspective" in the Journal of Management Inquiry.
