Summer and the City brings surprising revelations as Carrie learns to navigate her way around the Big Apple, going from being a country "sparrow"—as Samantha Jones dubs her—to the person she always wanted to be. But as it becomes increasingly difficult to reconcile her past with her future, Carrie r...

A fun summer read.I read the first few pages one day, then read the rest of the book one afternoon. Picking up shortly where the first book left off, Carrie has arrived in New York and is heading off to her first party with Samantha. As a Sex and the City fan it was a lot of fun seeing how the girls...

I’m a part of what they call the “Sex and the cCty” generation. I grew up admiring the life that Carrie et al. had in New York City, but fully understanding that it was not where my life was going. This allowed me to live vicariously through these girls as a teenager who couldn’t even spell Manolo B...

It is a fun read and I think that I enjoying it more than the Carrie Diaries. It was really fun to read about Carrie's early days in NYC. And I love seeing the relationships between all the SatC girls start!

I give this book more 4 and a half stars. I didn't love it quite as much as The Carrie Diaries but it was still a fun, witty read.

While I enjoyed The Carrie Diaries, I absolutely adored Summer and the City.It begins right where Diaries left off, with Carrie going to a party with Samantha. Overall, the writing has improved from the first book, and so has the series itself. The story is so much better and much easier to read.Als...

It picks up exactly where The Carrie Diaries left off. Carrie is in love with New York City. The smell, the fashion, the writers, the crazy neighbors, the vintage clothing, and wild parties. Even better, she is in a writing class honing her skills and preparing her for a career in writing.Carrie has...

I actually thought this was pretty good. It was a nice, quick summer read and it really made me want to go back to NYC.
