A "late-bloomer" when it comes to writing, Still Here... is my first published book. I am currently working on a collection of short stories (fiction), as well as writing shorter memoir pieces. I work part-time for an environmental education program (treetures.com). As far back as I can remember, I wanted to write stories and in my teens began keeping a journal - thirty years later, the multitude of notebooks are taking over my house! They are a repository of rants, venting, recollections, beginnings of stories, and a resource for ideas. I live in Westchester County, NY, with my husband and two sons. I have been nourished by writing, by literature, and see writers as generous in their willingness to share, whether through fiction or memoir, stories that help others escape loneliness, and find connection, and see possibility.
