Vicki Karaminas is Associate Professor of Fashion Studies and Associate Head of the School of Design at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. She is the president of the Popular Culture Association of Australia and New Zealand (2012-2015), the Chair of Fashion, and the Chair for Subcultural Style and Identity for the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association. Her book publications include The Men’s Fashion Reader (Berg, 2009), Fashion in Fiction: Text and Clothing in Literature, Film and Television (Berg, 2009), Fashion and Art (Berg, 2012), and Queer Style (Berg, 2013, forthcoming). She is the co-editor of The Australasian Journal of Popular Culture and is on the editorial boards of Fashion Theory: The Journal of Dress, Body & Culture, Film, Fashion and Consumption; Critical Studies in Men’s Fashion; and Fashion, Style and Popular Culture.
