It follows a very capable young woman called Marla and her sister Ellen as they attempt to escape a sudden out break of a mysterious virus. Through a series of horrific dreams th...

Not a bad book of haikus. Not truly traditional haiku, but very evocative, and groups of poems are often linked together to relate a tenuous tale (at least I thought they were). Ms. Johnstone has an interesting approach and creates some good imagery in her poems.

The ‘Kiwi’ series by author Vickie Johnstone revolves around Amy and James, two young children who own a ca...

This time, Amy, James and Kiwi must go help a little three-legged grey kitty named Misty, who is sending them messages in their dreams. The reverse anthropomorphism that sees the two human children turned into kittens in order to get hel...

Vickie contacted me about her book (a shamefully long time ago, I must admit), knowing I had a love of cats and I agreed to review it. I have started this book several times and stopped several times – NOT, I hasten to add, because I didn’t enjoy it or was finding it hard to get into. Quite the op...
