I really didn't like this. I couldn't relate to the protagonists, I didn't get a clear impression of time and place and the whole onset of "Being gay is a sin" coloured everything morose and guilt-laden. Also the angle of "shy gay boy becomes priest to avoid temptation" really irks me. Reading...

First off, the editing/proof-reading in this book was atrocious. There were so many instances of wrong words, wrong spelling, missing punctuation, that I gave up highlighting them all.
