This silly book is one of my "guilty pleasure" books. I love the English history she weaves into the story, the descriptions of court, and the pirates. I'm a sucker for a good pirate story.

11/10 - This is really 2.5 stars. Most of those 2.5 stars come from the fact that Notorious was continuing the story begun in A Year and a Day. I do like a book that's part of a series which continues the story of a previous couple - I like to read that they're still married with a whole ton of ki...

I really appreciated the Restoration England setting in an age of wall to wall boring regency romance. There so needs to be more restoration romance, I would be totally here for that. Charles II was a character in this and I actually enjoyed him slightly more than the main couple who's big misunders...

Been rereading this today and I found myself enjoying this again. I find myself falling in love with the characters again. The revenge, jealousy, redemption, pride and stuff. Still refreshing as the first time I read it as a teenager (and here's to folks defending physical book so much, my copy brok...
