Vivian Dubrovin has been writing for children for almost 40 years and has published more than 20 books. She has taught university continuing education classes for teachers on Helping Children Write Short Stories and Helping Children Become Storytellers. She has directed many regional writer's conferences on writing for children and has lectured extensively on writing for the juvenile field at professional writer's work-shops. In 1993 she formed Storycraft Publishing to produce storytelling materials for young tellers. In 1994, she started the Junior Storyteller newsletter for kids. In 1996, she created the Kids' Storytelling Club website. She is a past Regional Advisor for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illlustrators (SCBWI), has received many awards, and is currently creating a series of downloadable booklets to help children become storytellers.
