I am a clinical psychologist, a Professor of psychology in the Department of Leadership, Ethics and Law at the United States Naval Academy, and a Faculty Associate in the Graduate School of Education at Johns Hopkins University. I write, speak, and consult around the globe on the topic of mentoring relationships. At the moment, I am most excited about my book, "Athena Rising: How and Why Men Should Mentor Women." Written with my good colleague, Sociologist David Smith, this is a call for men to get busy mentoring women deliberately and effectively. Of course, "The Elements of Mentoring" and "On Being a Mentor: A Guide for Higher Education Faculty" serve as definitive 'how to' guides for those who want to be excellent in the mentor role. Whether you're looking for something on professional ethics, "The Elements of Ethics for Professionals;" leadership, "Becoming a Leader the Annapolis Way;" or challenging relationships, "Crazy Love," I hope one of the books on my list speaks to you!
