W. Paul Vogt is Emeritus Professor of Research Methods and Evaluation at Illinois State University, where he has won both teaching and research awards. Before coming to Illinois as an administrator and faculty member, he held similar posts at the State University of New York in Albany, NY. He has also been a visiting researcher at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes en Science Sociales in Paris (1980) and at the University of London Institute of Education (1986).His areas of specialization include research design and data analysis with particular emphasis on combining qualitative, quantitative, and graphic approaches.
