This was actually pretty good! I'm surprised. I have been burned by so many YA novels lately that I was skeptical when I began. But it was a fast read and it held my attention. Plus there were not 1 but 3 great guys in this book! No jerks winning the day. Nice guys for once. I may see if I can check...

Rating: 2.5 Stars! I really loved Amanda Hocking's zombie series and thought I'd give this one a try. The story was intended to be in the murder mystery/horror genre, but it doesn't quite pull it off. Gemma is a teenager living with her older sister and father. Her mother was in a car accident an...

It begins with a boring narration and the thrilling part just started almost in the middle of the story. If you're thinking that this whole thing has to do about mermaids. Sort of, but its not. They call themselves 'sirens'. Sirens are greek mythological creatures who were once human but cursed by a ...

Excellent book. A lot of character development in this one, but setting up for book 2 in the series. I've already pre-ordered it.

I read the Trylle books by Amanda Hocking a while ago, and decided that I wanted to read more books written by her. I had seen Wake in my local bookshop for a while now, and decided to just buy it in July. A little investigating on Goodreads told me that this book was about mermaids, or sirens as th...

Wake was a likable read and a good introduction to the ‘Watersong’ series.I’m not going to go over the description again because I think it pretty much covers everything I would say anyway so on with my thoughts….Wake felt like a coming of age story that was made more intriguing by a plot involving ...

I had high hopes for this book. Nice cover, mysterious synopsis, summer, sea... Besides I haven`t read anything about mythical sea creatures. So I was excited to pick it up. My excitement lasted for maybe two minutes. Then I started to tell myself - ok, sometimes it takes time to get into a book, k...
