I spent the whole day nervously pacing around and trying to find reasons to do anything other than get ready for the evening. Finally, at around four o’clock I didn’t really have a choice anymore and I hit the shower. Tonight was it, and even though I was excited about this new direction in my relationship with Russell, I was also a bit terrified. My marriage was good. Hell, it was great.
