I liked the storyline but was bothered by the use of gay and Hispanic slurs. I think my favorite character, actually, was Merle the biker vampire. What I truly enjoyed about this book was how the illustrator managed to erase all that divided the characters. The book is in black and white and all of the characters were rendered in the same manner such that the reader cannot tell the ethnicity of the characters except for the text telling them.
