So I have all of the Walsh Family books in paperback. I haven't read them in years, but decided to take the first two for a whirl this weekend. And now I wonder if I read this years ago and liked Claire or what? Cause Claire drives me a bit insane in this book. And when you read about how she change...

Count me underwhelmed--nay, irked. I tried this because it was recommended on The Ultimate Reading List under the chicklit section. Well, I'm beginning to suspect that with the rare exception (so far, Bridget Jones' Diary) this isn't the kind of book for me. So many of them strike the same tone--ove...

Opening Line:” ”I’m sorry, you must think I’m very rude. We’ve hardly even been introduced and here I am telling you all about the terrible things that have happened to me.”Claire thought she had the perfect life right up until her husband James announced that he didn’t love her anymore and was leav...

Not my favourite Walsh family book by a stretch, but I liked it nonetheless.

The story itself wasn't THAT good, but I really like her writing. I want a man like Adam!!

Although I found this book funny and cute at many points, I also couldn't seem to read it for more than 20 minutes at a time. The main characters constant inner dialogue, sounding more like a 13 year old girl than a grown woman, got a bit daunting. I craved something a little deeper than her insec...

My friend gave me her copy of this to read. It was my first Keyes book and it got me hooked on her. I love the way she writes. The stories about the Walsh stories are my favourite. I love Claire's character and the whole Walsh family. I recommend reading this and the other Walsh Family books to ever...

I haven't read much chick lit. In fact, this is only the second book I've read in the genre, the first being Emily Giffen's Baby Proof. I was much more impressed with this book than that. Marian Keyes is hilarious, is the dryest of all possible ways. And, also, this book was much more empowering...

OK, this book was LONG. And it was just OK...the storyline was good but I didn't really like the constant circles that Claire talked in. And I found myself skimming...a lot...to get through.

My very first book club book, back when we had so many interested people that we had to hold two meetings. After a very "interesting" dinner session, I met a new friend and we've been friends ever since!
