After re-reading Knife, the first book in this series, I knew I had to get started on "Rebel" as soon as possible, mainly because I couldn't wait to figure out what was going to happen next in the story! Addictive: check. In this book that takes place a few good years after Knife, our main character...

I'm starting to think R.J. Anderson can do no wrong. Which she probably can't. Wayfarer is no longer Knife's story, but Linden's. Linden in a way is the opposite of Knife. When Knife is impulsive and wild, Linden is sweet and does what she is told. Wayfarer was definitely not what I expected, it was...

This sequel to "Knife" is even better than the first book in the series! In "Knife" a lot of page-time was giving to setting up the universe and explaining the fairy's history. That wasn't necessary here, which made for a smoother story. Besides, I just found Rebel's story more interesting than Knif...

However, what we get to see of them is perfect and I would love to see them, even if briefly, i...

WAYFARER takes place fourteen years after FAERY REBELS: SPELL HUNTER. It is more of a companion than a sequel since the main character is Linden, Knife’s foster daughter.Linden lives in the Oak with the other faeries. The Queen is ill and not expected to live much longer and all the faeries are wor...

Linden must leave the oak to seek aid for her people but in the end she may discover that the most important part of her quest is the journey itself. Though Wayfarer is the second book in the Faery Rebels series it reads easily as a stand alone novel. This is a young adult tale of friendship and d...

3.5 stars. I liked it just not as much as "Knife."
