Wendy Wax is the author of many children's books including Even Firefighters Go to the Potty (Little Simon); City Witch, Country Switch (Marshall Cavendish); Class Picture Day (Price Stern Sloan); Renoir and the Boy With the Long Hair (Barron's), Empire Dreams (Silver Moon Press), Clara the Klutz (InnovativeKids), Otis C. Mouse (InnovativeKids), Sugar and Spice (InnovativeKids), Arlo Makes a Friend (Sterling), and Arlo Gets Lost. (Sterling). She has also illustrated and written Bus to Booville and You Can't Scare Me (both Grosset & Dunlap), and illustrated Pinkeriffic Playdate (HarperCollins), an early reader in Victoria Kann's Pinkalicious series. Wendy grew up in Michigan. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a BFA in graphic design, she moved to NYC and worked as a children's book editor. At the same time, she began writing books and creating collage illustrations for magazines, ads, and books. Wendy has written books for Nickelodeon, Disney, and Children's Television Workshop featuring popular characters including Dora the Explorer, Diego, SpongeBob, Fairly Oddparents, Backyardigans, Rugrats, Sesame Street, Barbie, and the Disney princesses.Wendy lives in New York.
