When you've read good romance novels the mediocre ones stand out like sore thumbs. Sadly this novel falls in that category. It is a first novel so I'm willing to give the author a break but compared to others I don't know that I'm intrigued enough to check out the next one in the series.
good plot and characters, not quite believable but a tinge of fantasy is fine
Very enjoyable. Light and easy to read. I read this in one day, 2 sittings. It just flowed. It has the poor spectacle wearing seamstress and an honorable duke.Its a trope I like, especially if the heroine has a spine and the hero isn't an ass. Putting the next in the series on my tbr list. Sweet, fluffy read. Not much steam or romance. The heroine is admirable and not out of character for her time. The hero is a nice guy, not a rake, just a genuinely good person trying to do his best to raise two sisters and maintain the family's social position and watch out for their best interest. ...
