3.5 solid stars. I love Lisa Kleypas writing and have loved most of her books. When stranger Marry at times was slow and cheesy but that's really what you get when reading a Historical Romance. I just found that I liked her later works better and do realize that this was one of her earlier works....

I enjoyed this 1800s New Orleans story about Lysette running away from bad fiance caught by twin sons of rich planation owner Max with his own agenda ... the action, characters and passion all good but rated 3.5* because Lisa Kleypas has written much more captivating books.
