Not technically a MR prequel, but this and the sequel to this were the inspiration for the MR series. :)
I thought the first book in this JP series was good. Good enough to carry me into the second book which, literally, blew. I thought this was a series which had some potential based off this one.
Entertaining enough although I don't remember any specifics.
