This story was pretty good, though I wanted to slap Marina at times. She was so damned stubborn and her wizards were as well. I liked the mystery surrounding who was controlling the dark magic and trying to take over the sorceress' land. I really, really wished Serena's story was already written.

I have nothing against descriptions of sex in a novel. I have no problem with the very most explicit descriptions of sex that leave absolutely nothing to the imagination. But sheesh! There is such a thing as too much of it. When the sex completely overwhelms the plot and everything else to the poin...

The second book in this series and I thought Marina was a bit too mixed up for me. Her crazy fear of men was too much for me. Still, I'm left wondering what is happening this world.
