Not bad, just boring. The conflicts were lukewarm and I never felt that the characters really earned their HEA. The characters themselves were so-so, again, not bad, just there. That's the crux of the problem, at least most bad books have something that engages my emotions, even if it's rage. This b...

Arranged marriage stories are one of the staples of Historical Romances, yet I’ve never been the biggest fan of them. Yes, the circumstances of the romance are the same as any plot type, with two strangers coming together and falling in love. However, when the marriage is an absolute for the coupl...

A surprising lack of drama/conflict but still enjoyable. Charlotte was great (her rescue plot was a bit silly, but brave) but I'm not sure if March is worthy of her. He still has some opening up to do. Detailed review to come.

This one was just kind of... there. I kept thinking it was set in Regency time until a queue, hoops or powder was mentioned. I really didn't get the sense of being in 1760. Just a bit blah to me, including the love scenes. Just didn't get any emotion out of this one.

When You WIsh Upon a Duke has a very natural, although anti climatic, story romance readers will appreciate. The lack of a proposed obstacle in the beginning of this novel doesn’t necessary mean that our perfect pair won’t be facing some issues later on. It seems like a realistic point of view to see...

Lady Charlotte Wylder learns she is betrothed to the Duke of Marchbourne the day before she has to leave for London to prepare for her wedding. She's been raised in the Dorset countryside and is less than thrilled at the prospect of leaving her carefree lifestyle for the trappings of London society...

A great start to a new series. Charlotte is the oldest of the Wylder sisters. Before her father passed away he arranged for Charlotte to marry The Duke of Marchbourne. Charlotte isn't too happy about finding this out, but she knows she must go with it. She is more of a tomboy climbing trees typ...

I'm a bit conflicted about this book.It starts with Charlotte, a tree-climbing heroine, who doesn't know of her arranged marriage until the day a solicitor comes to fetch her to London for this purpose. At this I wanted to say: BAD PARENTING. I mean, seriously, she'd been betrothed from birth, you'd...
