"We are, largely, who we remember ourselves to be. That’s why habits are so hard to break. If we know ourselves to be liars, we expect not to tell the truth. If we think of ourselves as honest, we try harder." Wow, where to start? First of all this book starts off right in the thick of it...conf...

“White Cat” by Holly Black was surprisingly good. The story centers on Cassel who comes from a family of gifters. Many years back he murdered his best friend Lila but he cannot remember how or why. Now his world gets turned upside down when he starts dreaming of a white cat. This book has an inter...

An older review. Still working on the GR conversion project. White Cat is a young adult fantasy, the first in a series, but it’s not the cookie-cutter standard YA novel. Black usually fills her stories with a somewhat edgier cast of characters that can put some people off. These folks have rough e...

Edit 8/9/14- Looking back, I don't know why I didn't give this more stars. I loved Red Glove and Black Heart. So I am going back and editing my rating and review.Summary: In an alternate-reality version of the US, there are people with magical abilities and can manipulate memories, emotion, dreams o...
