From the author of Kindle Top 100 Book Superbia, international best-seller Whitechapel: The Final Stand of Sherlock Holmes, and the Guns of Seneca 6 series, Bernard Schaffer presents this special Gentlemen's Edition of what is called the most shocking Sherlock Holmes book ever written.Edited to remove the profanity and gore of the original, it is designed for more sensitive readers who still want to enjoy a realistic portrayal of the Jack the Ripper events, and a startling new rendition of Arthur Conan Doyle's classic characters.**In an interview regarding Whitechapel, author Bernard Schaffer said, "Why would I grunt out yet another nauseating imitation of Doyle?  The world has quite enough of those, I think.  Whitechapel is about a real time, a real place.  Real murders that happened to living, breathing people who were ground down under society's heel.  The people tasked with putting an end to them aren't able to sit back and enjoy afternoon tea, discuss the pleasantries of cricket, and remain aloof while staring at a woman's dismembered, mutilated corpse.  For all the accusations that Whitechapel is not a proper pastiche, I just shake my head and laugh.  Obviously, it's like nothing you've read before.  That was the point in writing it."  ***There have been many stories written about London's Great Detective and his pursuit of the world's first celebrated serial killer.  All of them were lies. Whitechapel: The Final Stand of Sherlock Holmes has been called both a masterpiece and a shocking outrage in its realistic depiction of the Ripper crimes and the world in which Arthur Conan Doyle's beloved characters existed.   Bernard Schaffer cuts through the simplistic devices that readers have grown used to Sherlock Holmes stories, and instead of regurgitating the same tired reworkings of the canon, he creates something new.  Something fresh.  Something that will leave readers stunned. ***Readers looking to enjoy the original version of the story are invited to purchase WHITECHAPEL: THE FINAL STAND OF SHERLOCK HOLMES, available now for Kindle and paperback.  Be advised, the original version contains explicit content.
