I had no idea just how prejudice I am against L.A., Hollywood in particular, until reading this. The whole time I was grinding my teeth over the setting. Totally not the fault of the book. I just don't enjoy stories set in Hollywood. Still this was good, and I'll probably continue reading the series...

Yet another first in a new series, and a really solid book. Liked the main character a lot. Her mother & her jerk-off cop brother I could do without. Good story with some good supernatural background. Look forward to the next one.

Great first book! Really loved the lore behind the plot and really found the whole book interesting. Good characters with room to grow (although I found the mom to be silly and annoying). I look forward to book 2.
