In these years Schulz really gains a lot of confidence and the experimental tweaking of gags and characters begin to truly pay off. There are some great debuts in this collection, but the craftsmanship of the strips is evident even in the strips that, at first glance, could have appeared in any of h...
For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleI found a copy of this book in a Little Free Library a while ago. I'd never heard of the series before, but was intrigued that it was written by Whoopi Goldberg. This is the first Sugar Plum Ballerinas book I have read. While it is probably better to re...
I Picked Up This Book Because: 92% the title, 8% Whoopi The Story: This book gave me some new thoughts and confirmed a lot of conclusions I had already come to in my own life. Interspersed with humor and a bit of sarcasm this doesn’t really read as a self help book. It is not at all “you should be...
This book sat in my audible wishlist for months. I had a feeling it would be good because, Whoopi, but you just never know. So when this and another wishlist item became available 2-for-1, I jumped on it. I am not disappointed in my choice; this book was phenomenal!Whoopi is, obviously, funny but...
This was a great children's book. It had great lessons on humility, obedience & responsibility. This is the 6th book in the series. I wanted to screen these to see how appropriate it was for my niece. They are definitely age appropriate for a 5 Year old.
I wanted to find books with a little more diversity for the girls & my niece. This book was cute but the descriptions of the other children had me not so sure at 1st. Which is why I deducted a star. Once the book started flowing, it was a normal children's book. I also couldn't figure out why Brenda...
I can't recommend this one highly enough - I enjoyed almost every single bit of it. Everyone did a great job with narration, and the stories were all good, and some of them excellent. My hands down favourite was King Lion's Gifts narrated by Ricardo Chavira. Honourable mention goes to The Mother...
The Peanuts anthologies are an excellent look back at our childhood through the eyes of Charlie Brown and gang. 1959-1960 brings us the birth of Charlie Brown's sister , the great pumpkin, and of course Snoopy.
This is another freebie that I have had sitting in my audible account for a while. It was excellent. Two wonderful folk tales with absolutely fantastic narration. I'm impressed.
A very entertaining story, with a twisty protagonist, a twisty plot, and a classic ending. I'll never look at lobster the same way again! & Ms. Goldberg is quite a good narrator.
