Really enjoyable story of Baba Yaga as a modern investigator of wrongs for people who summon her. Using Baba Yaga as a title more than a real name though they become a bit blurred.

The series starts off with a bang. I loved Barbara and Liam. Definitely a fan of Chudo-Yudo, the large dog that's a small dragon. But I'm terribly upset that the series doesn't stick with Barbara. Instead, each story is about a different Baba Yaga. I feel like we just got started with Barabara and L...

I'm embarrassed to confess I can't remember who recommended Wickedly Dangerous to me. They were right, though. This re-imagining of Baba Yaga in modern America is interesting. Wonderful world building. The romance and issues are real, at the heart of the fantastical paranormal elements. That gave ...

Wickedly Dangerous , first in a new series by Deborah Blake, brings forth the retelling of Baba Yaga, a child-eating witch of Russian folklore. Baba Yaga, in Blake’s world, is not the name of a single woman but more of a job title. Baba Yaga maintains balance of the natural world — they are like the...

I received a print and digital copy in exchange for an honest review from Berkley and Netgalley. Wickedly Dangerous is the first book in the Baba Yaga series, the author Deborah Blake adds a new spin on the old mythology/fairytale by creating a group of hot women with their own stories to tell. In W...
