Will Hill was a bartender, a bookseller, and a publishing marketer for many years before quitting to write full time. Department 19 was his debut novel, and the first in a series that continues with Department 19: The Rising. He lives in London with his girlfriend, is scared of spiders, and is reasonably confident that vampires aren't real. Although that doesn't stop him sleeping with a stake beside his bed.

The three star rating is not the book's fault. This was not the right book to read for the mood I was in. I will be recommending it to the boys - there is lots of action and thrills. And they may not tire of the moody teenager like I did!
