Good and at times laugh out loud funny. Just goes to show one can learn complex ideas while being entertained. I would favorably compare this play to the recent movies of Woody Allen.Librevox has a free audio version available.
Alcestis: a unique play. It takes many twisted paths. The 'betrayal' of parents to their son. The indifference of Gods(Apollo), and the courage of half-mortals (Heracles), the faithfulness of wives (Alcestis) And the cowardice of kings (Admetus' refusal to die.)
I hear Iphigenia is great.
