William M. Isaac (Sarasota, FL) is Global Head of Financial Services for FTI Consulting, Chairman of Fifth Third Bancorp, and one of the world's foremost authorities on banking and bank regulation. He served as Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation during the banking and S&L crises of the 1980s during which some 3,000 banks and thrifts failed, including nine of the ten largest Texas banks and Continental Illinois, the nation's 7th largest bank.
