William Vaughn has been a storyteller from a very early age--perhaps from the time he had to explain why he was presenting his mom with a bunch of her own prized tulips. His first series The Seldith Chronicles, a series of young adult novels designed to treat Harry Potter withdrawal. The stories follow the lives, exploits, and challenges of a clan of teenage forest elves no taller than a mushroom who try to uncover the real truth about the clan elders. The series begins with "The Owl Wrangler," which has been included in the Lake Washington School District's Summer Reading List. William's latest creation is a New Adult series--The Timkers. This three-book series follows Sam Harkins, a troubled young man running from the police only to find himself transported to 1930. On the depression-era streets of Seattle he meets the love of his life--only to be forced to leave her behind when the time tinkerers, the Timkers, send him back to his own time. The first book in the series, "A Stitch in Time" is followed by "Déjà Vu" and "Borrowed Time." Before his fiction-writing career, William travelled the world as an Army brat and then as a technical speaker, mentor and award-winning technical author, recognized and respected all over the world. William is also an avid nature photographer and graphics artist. In 1986, he settled in Redmond, Washington at the edge of a forest teeming with story ideas.
