I liked the plot of this historical romance and the hero was so lovable but the heroine was overly set in her ways and the story had too many details so I skimmed a lot. Spy Madeline is asked to join fellow spy Thomas in uncovering a smuggling ring.
Simply put one of the best books around. The stoyline is meager but Ms. Ashworth brings both hero and heroine alive on paper. Also, it's nice to see that sometimes it's the woman trying to avoid matrimony.
I don't really understand why this book doesn't have a higher rating on goodreads. The story is original and the romance is very sweet.
