So, cards on the table? I'm not a Wonder Woman fan. I think she was a big step forward for women in comics during her first appearances, but I don't think she's done enough developing for me to be ZOMG a Wonder Woman fan. She usually sort of pisses me off. But my comic book shop was having an a...

I love ( like many others) Wonder Woman, but sadly I have not actually read a Wonder Woman comic.I got this because on the cover it proclaimed "Expect a lot more Wonder Woman fans after a few issues of this book". I don't think this story would make me a fan of Wonder Woman. I know the basic story a...

This is the new Wonder Woman, from the New 52. She's got a new costume, a new history, although i can't speak to how true it is to the old backstory. After all, I'm a Marvel girl, not so much a DC girl, but the New 52 has impressed me so far. (I've read some of the Batman and Superman titles, ...

A surprise hit that I have heard is damn good. I have not had much of a background with Wonder Woman (perhaps with the bizarre exception being a futanari comic that I found that features a lot of the women from Marvel with a good deal of artistic changes made to the characters - if you have no idea...

I've been meaning to read this reboot for a while. Despite all the mixed reactions people have had to the New 52, I've been hearing a lot of great things from people I trust about this new take on Wonder Woman. But I was still on the fence so I waited until my library got a copy of the trade. Now af...

A breath of fresh air after reading a bunch of poorly written, groveling female characters from the 1970s. Azzarello does something really fantastic here: he manages to write urban fantasy that is not lame. The Greek gods are alive and well, plotting and scheming (and sleeping with) mortals for thei...

After DC pressed the big cosmic reset button AGAIN, quite a lot of their superhero titles no longer exist, and others have pretty much been rebooted from scratch. Generally uninterested in these "new" interpretations, I've been avoiding DC (the first new issue of Catwoman were especially atrocious, ...

One of the worst retcons ever. Say hello to reducing the unique concept to yet another of Zeus' bastard children. And the queen of Amazons into yet another conquest. Yay. Not even Circe the Straw Feminist back in the day left as bitter a taste in my mouth as this did. I don't care that it's a ...

It gets a star for Cliff Chiang's art. Not a fan of some of the character designs, but the art is pretty.
Title and Statement of Responsibility
I liked the art and the re-imagining of Diana's origin story, but . . . some of the time I couldn't tell what was happening? Or had happened? I don't know if is a consequence of jumping in here or the storyline being confusing, or what.
